Constellation
Super light, pre-war Martin dreadnought.
Carefully selected tone and brace woods enable ultra-lightweight construction. Delivering a huge yet articulated sound, available in a wide choice of tone woods.
Steve’s Take: “That’s my version of a pre-war dreadnought. It’s super traditional. Trying to make them as light as possible was one thing a well-known luthier told me long ago. A great acoustic guitar should weigh three pounds or less. I’ll spend hours looking for a good headblock and tailblock that are super strong yet weigh almost nothing! Every piece of wood is judged this way to make the cut.”
